A round up of Henley Women’s Regatta

Hello Ave readers!

This year we were fortunate enough to have 2 crews racing our boats. Firstly we had Anna Shreeves, who entered lightweight aspirational singles, competing under St Neots RC. After a strong qualification results (8th fastest qualifier), she sailed through her first heat and then finished as a quarterfinalist, after racing an experienced sculler who made the final last year. Well done Anna! Anna rows in our S model for 55-65kg.

Our second crew racing was Annie Campbell-Orde and our own Ave representative Sophie Connolly, racing in championship double sculls. Racing started on Saturday, as they had a bye through to the quarter-finals where they faced Cambridge University. They took a confident lead from the start and dominated the race, finishing with a 4 length lead on their opposition. For their semi final, they had a tough fight throughout the whole race against Leander, just missing out on a place in the final. For both crew members, this was only their third time at WHR, so we are very pleased for them and wish them luck for this week as they go to Henley Royal Qualifiers on Friday.

The double they are racing is our L model suitable for 75-85kg.

Our current stock list available now is  S1X, L1X, XL1X and L2X, or an estimated 12 weeks from our factory. Please get in touch if you want to trial any of our boats.

Happy flying,

Ave UK
